Two Pittsburghers in Hollywood:
Howard Shore, Fran Walsh and Annie Lennox Accepting an Oscar for Best Song - "Into the West"
As the evening went on, Return of the King piled on more and more Oscars. It was really quite thrilling. The winning song, "Into the West," was just such an achingly beautiful grace note to the whole enterprise. Seeing the normally very reticent Fran Walsh in front of over a billion movie fans on TV was particularly exciting.
