San Francisco and Napa: Sea Lions at Fishermans' Wharf
When I was a kid, I was always fascinated by seals and seal lions. During my last trip to San Francisco in 1968, we'd seen a few sea lions along the rocks near Alcatraz. This time, we saw hundreds of them just off of Fishermans' Wharf. Apparently, the 1989 earthquake spooked sea lions in the bay to move closer to shore.
